Flava Art & Design - The reed apartment

A fruitful cooperation

I met Zoltán, the founder of the ArtGroup architectural office, in connection with a previous project, when we prepared a brochure for a Tiger Woods themed golf game-house with a team. A few months later, he approached me with the ArtKazal project, to work together on the branding for the house.

About the design house

ArtKazal is a unique accommodation building born on the meeting point of special architectural solutions and nature at the banks of the fields. The external NÁD covering makes the surfaces of the building magically soft. Its ventilated spaces help cool down naturally.

In 2017, the house made it to the finals of the WAF Berlin, among the 10 best buildings in the world in the Hotel and Leisure, completed buildings category.

The house has a total of 4 apartments with 16 beds. Jacuzzi, sauna, beach volleyball, table tennis, camera-guarded parking lot and public spaces are available to visitors.

The process of creation

My role was to create the branding for which the name was given. The building itself has special, unique characteristics, so I let the process be inspired by this.

Branding

The Logo

It was inspired by one of the most characteristic parts of the house. The reed-covered wall studded with long vertical windows, which becomes even more exciting with its playful movements of the light.

Prints

The design house participates in architecture, touristic and at design fairs, so a few printed materials were made for the communication at these events.

Accessories

The rooms in the house are distinguished by a color code, each apartment has a separate card. Guests are welcomed with complimentary wine and a unique apron.

A YouTube channel was created for the house, because it regularly provides a location for special events, such as creative workshops, trainings, weddings and video shoots.

Website

We created a website for the house, which serves general and highlighted information and provides a direct contact to the operator for the bookers.
